The University of Florida takes immense
pride in the strong commitment and success of the entire university
community in meeting its mission of conducting exceptional teaching,
research and service. The achievements of faculty, staff and students
are reflected in accreditation evaluations as well as in other assessments
of academic accomplishments. Currently, the University of Florida
is conducting a focused self-study approved by the Southern Association
of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The two
and 1/2 year self-audit process will provide UF with benchmarks
for assessing our progress as a truly world-class, international
university.
Every ten years the University of Florida undergoes
a comprehensive self-study process leading to reaffirmation of accreditation
by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The
University of Florida proposed an alternative approach to the self-study
process, a strategic focus on internationalizing the University
of Florida. In addition to the focused self-study on internationalization,
UF must document compliance with the SACS criteria on accreditation.
